The keynote resource person for the workshop was Dr. Nainesh Modi, Professor, School of Sciences, Department of Botany, Climate Change and Bioinformatics, Gujarat University. Dr. Modi delivered an informative and highly interactive lecture covering the essential aspects of research methodology. He explained the complete research process in a systematic manner, beginning with the identification and selection of a research problem and proceeding through the formulation of objectives, hypotheses, research design, literature review, sampling techniques, data collection methods, statistical analysis, interpretation of results, and preparation of research reports.

During his session, Dr. Modi emphasized the importance of conducting ethical and high-quality research. He discussed research integrity, plagiarism awareness, proper citation methods, referencing styles, and responsible publication practices. Participants were introduced to various digital research resources, online databases, academic search engines, plagiarism detection software, and reference management tools that facilitate effective scientific research.

Special emphasis was given to interdisciplinary research, innovation, and the application of modern technologies in biological sciences.
